Technical Safety BC Information

Technical Safety BC is an independent, self-funded organization mandated to oversee the safe installation and operation of technical systems and equipment. In addition to issuing permits, licences and certificates, we work with industry to reduce safety risks through assessment, education and outreach, enforcement, and research. Our vision is Safe technical systems. Everywhere. To this end, we employ people with a wide range of skills in: technical safety, finance, information technology, client service, business development, human resources, communications, policy, corporate services, and more. Technical Safety BC has a progressive culture and a deep commitment to accountability, learning and engagement. We have built a team to provide expert knowledge and excellent services that help our clients manage and mitigate safety risks.
