TBS Electronics BV Information

TBS Electronics BV (TBS) is a privately owned Dutch company founded in 1984 by current managing director Hans Schouten. TBS was one of the few manufacturers in Europe to start with the development and production of toroidal transformers. The high level of expertise in magnetics design was further expanded into the field of electronics design, when TBS opened an electronics research and development division in 1988. Lot's of products and product parts have been developed since then. Examples are industrial switch mode power supplies, battery chargers and inverters. After 1995, TBS extended it's competence in software development as well. Over the years the R & D division has grown to an important part of the company, were a high level of expertise in mechanical, electrical and software design has resulted in high quality products which are recognized all over the world. Implementing only the best available electronic parts and materials in each TBS product, results in even more durability. All TBS products are designed and manufactured in The Netherlands according to the highest production and quality control standards. Keeping R & D and production under the same roof, ensures the best end products to serve the customer with lots of trouble free years. With years of experience, TBS decided to launch a product range under it's own brandname in 1996. Starting with a complete range of highly sophisticated DC to AC sinewave inverters, we were one of the first companies in the world to introduce a small high quality and affordable true sinewave inverter back in 1996. A few years later the E-Xpert 501 high precision battery monitor was launched, acting as the industry standard battery state of charge indicator for many years.
