We are Independent Speech and Language Therapists working in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. We specialise in providing a service for young children and their parents. We work most frequently with children aged 18mths – 5 years in their own home, or occasionally in nursery. We are happy to discuss any concerns you may have in relation to older children too. The children we see are often described as having · Attention and/or listening difficulties · Language delay · Language disorder · Speech sound delay · Speech sound disorder · Foundation skills for literacy development We believe that therapy works best when there is collaboration. We are experts in communication and you, as parents, are experts in your child, so when we work together we get the best results. Therapy will only be effective when: · We work together to reach our goals · You and your child practise daily, the work provided · Your child is motivated to work by having fun during the sessions · We are honest with each other about expectations, difficulties and progress
