TakeLab FER Information

We are the Text Analysis and Knowledge Engineering Lab, a creative research group based in the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Croatia. We specialize in natural language processing, machine learning, and text analytics. Our mission is to help people make sense of often large amounts of unstructured data expressed in natural language. The tedious data analyses should be done by the machines, so that humans can focus on higher-level cognitive tasks, such as creative thinking, decision making, and problem solving. We are committed to state-of-the-art research in natural language processing and the development of cutting-edge text analytics tools. Our focus is on technology that bridges the notorious data-to-knowledge gap. In our projects we work closely with tech-savvy partners from both industry and academia. We take great satisfaction in working side-by-side with our partners to develop innovative and creative data analysis solutions. As a university group, we are very passionate and dedicated about teaching. Our school attracts some of the most talented young people from the region. We are happy to share our knowledge with many bright and hard-working students.
