The Corvinus University of Budapest is the leading institution of Hungary in the fields of economy and social sciences. From July 1, 2019, Corvinus has been operated by Maecenas Universitatis Corvini Foundation, and the aim of the institution is to be the leading university of Central Europe in the fields mentioned. At the Budapest and Székesfehérvár Campuses of the university currently, 13,000 students are being educated, out of them, 3,500 are from foreign countries. The university has approximately 300 partner institutions and achieves international recognitions and awards regularly in the ranking of higher education institutions. With the renewed Business and Management Bachelor Programme, Corvinus has won the first prize of Eduniversal 2019, also with its Management and Leadership, Master's Programme was chosen among the best 100 business universities in Europe by Financial Times Masters in Management 2020. The Corvinus University of Budapest is the only higher education institution in Hungary that owns an AMBA accreditation at the same time.

Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) - in terms of student and staff number, quality of education and research, and its international relations - is a prestigious institution of public higher education in Hungary, operating continuously since its inception in 1635. As a top-ranked research university in Hungary, it is the most popular higher education institution among applicants as well as alma mater of five Nobel laureates and leading figures in technology, public policy, and culture in Hungary. ELTE has widespread international relations. It holds bilateral agreements for cooperation and exchange with about 600 higher education institution partners. It is an active member of prestigious international university networks and involved in joint degree programs. Currently 29,000 students study at eight faculties at ELTE with about 3,000 international students from over 100 countries. ELTE offers 45 bachelor’s programs, 101 master’s programs, 295 undivided teacher training major pairings, and over 60 degree programs offered in foreign languages (mainly English) to international students. ELTE is Hungary’s largest scientific establishment with 16 doctoral schools and 126 doctoral programs.

The University of Pécs, the oldest university in Hungary, was founded in 1367. Today it is one of the largest Institutions of Higher Education in the country and offers a wide spectrum of courses to some 20,000 students in approximately 500 different study programmes. The highly qualified academic staff are a guarantee that students are provided with the most up-to-date knowledge to the highest, internationally recognised standards and so earn a degree which is highly competitive in today’s labour market. The University has conducted degree programmes in English for more than 30 years and so has become one of the most internationalized universities in Hungary. The university offers more than 50 degree programmes and preparatory courses for international students taught in English and German. The University of Pécs is located in the uniquely beautiful, vibrant and lively city of Pécs – a proper, multi-campus university town – which was designated to be the European Capital of Culture in 2010. The large international student population has become essential part not only the university but of the city’s everyday life as well.
