Learning to dance poses a huge learning curve, and currently, dancers aren’t practicing enough outside of class, to overcome it. On top of this, consistent class time with an instructor is both costly and limited, so a lack of outside practice will limit improvement— and when people don’t see improvement, more often than not, they will quit. That’s where SwingBeats comes in. Created by dancers, for dancers, we’ve created Haptic Feedback Ankle Bracelets (HFABs) that vibrate on the user's foot to signal dancers when to do a certain step, as well as provide both dancers and instructors with feedback regarding accuracy and practice time. In bridging the intersection between technology and dance, we provide our customers with a model that gives them unprecedented insight into their students’ progress.
