What do you like about fashion? I like the freedom and creativity it allows, the variety that it gives you and the thoughts it provokes about our environment and how we interact with it. But when I left university to work in the fashion industry, my experience wasn’t quite as I had hoped. I grew tired, very quickly, of the waste (resources, raw materials, money and time to name a few), the pace of consumption along with the lack of originality and the quiet yet active disregard for the rest of the supply chain. This wasn’t the industry I wanted to work in. Today, I design and produce knitwear collections that are the antithesis to these aspects of Fast Fashion, whose scale and methods are totally unsustainable.
