Strings Etc. has been providing professional string ensembles for weddings and special events since 1992. Michelle Jones, leader, is the Vinylinist and has over 30 years of musical experience in a variety of genres. Michelle and her ensembles have performed for celebrity weddings, and have worked with several famous wedding planners, including David Tutera and Colin Cowie. We have been featured on multiple television shows, including "Weddings of a Lifetime" and "My Fair Wedding," among many others aired internationally. Michelle is an accomplished violinist and violist that has performed with numerous symphony orchestras around the world, including assistant principal violin with the world-renowned Mantovani Orchestra and featured rock violin soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. She also performed and provided the strings for Josh Groban's first world tour after meeting him while performing with Sarah Brightman on her "La Luna" tour. She has performed multiple world tours to sold-out audiences in prestigious venues, including The People's Hall of Congress in Beijing, Canada's world-famous Massey Hall, and recently at Orlando's Amway Center Arena. Her performances have also been featured on MTV, VH1, ABC, NBC, WE tv, Fox, Lifetime, Bravo, and Canada's CTV. Michelle is also a violinist, violist, vocalist, percussionist and keyboardist as well as featured soloist with the international touring group Classic Albums Live based in Toronto, Ontario. She is versatile with genres from classic rock to pop, from punk to heavy metal. Michelle also performs with the Walt Disney World Orchestra and Disney's Fairytale Weddings as a solo violinist and ensemble leader. She and the musicians of Strings Etc. continue to tour professionally with artists, including Chicago, Styx, The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra Jr., Joshua Bell, Itzhak Perlman, Sheena Easton, Jackie Evancho, Mannheim Steamroller, Anne Murray, Sarah Brightman, Bernadette Peters, Manhattan Transfer, Michael MacDonald, Michael Bolton, Art Garfunkel and many others. Michelle works with a variety of talented musicians to create various ensembles. These musicians include internationally renowned symphonic musicians and studio artists. In addition to performing with several symphony orchestras, the musicians of Strings Etc. also perform as part of Violectric, Fretless Rock, and Classic Albums Live.
