Streetplay.com is a non-profit project of a handful of volunteers who are dedicated to celebrating and documenting the experience of childhood play in New York City and other urban centers. Founded in 1999, Streetplay.com has been consistently recognized by premiere media outlets such as Yahoo! ("Pick of the Week"), CNN.com, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, NPR "All Things Considered", and WNYC. It has also collaborated with major cultural institutions as the Smithsonian Institution and the American Museum of Natural History, as well as with makers of 2010 documentary "New York Street Games" (www.newyorkstreetgames.com).
