𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱-𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲. We train over 10,000 young people affected by violence each year; both in the physical and psychological consequences of street violence. We put young people at the centre of emergency first-aid provision and empower them to become part of the solution to violence. Our training is delivered by our movement of young healthcare volunteers (nurses, paramedics and doctors) who work in partnership with a wide variety of services where young people may be active: criminal justice services, schools, pupil referral units, youth, sports and community groups. All our work is trauma informed, meaning we work closely with our partners to ensure young people are supported in preparation for our session, during the running of the session, and long after the session is complete.
