Strategy Guide is a research analysis and consultancy initiative fully dedicated to the video games industry. Based in London, Strategy Guide offers assistance in commercialization of independent digital content (strategy, marketing, PR, design, execution), competitive strategy (industry analysis, firm analysis, business plan, financial strategy), research and analysis (data collection, statistical analysis, interpretation, report writing), and industry coverage. Strategy Guide is a privately held company composite of a small team of highly motivated and capable individuals. Besides founder Joost Rietveld, the team consists of marketing and PR expert Maarten de Jong, financial strategist and researcher Cristiano Bellavitis, and visual designer Karlo Norg. The team composition reflects Strategy Guide’s dual focus, hands on assistance in commercialization of content from independent video game developers, and full-fledged research and analysis reports for advisory and policy making purposes. Recent clients include second screen interactivity start-up iSEN, international digital production and advergaming agency Media Monks, and development studio Sticky Game Studios. Industry coverage by Strategy Guide has appeared on Gaming Business Review, Gamasutra, and Bashers. Strategy Guide has given invited presentations at the 2012 London Digital Shoreditch, the 2011 Festival of Game, and the 2010 Game in the City.
