Strait Coffee Information

We maintain a large inventory of green beans, but roast only what we need to fill each order. Green beans retain their quality for months, even years, but roasted coffee is at its peak in the first 14 days after roasting so every order is custom roasted. Potential wholesale customers can arrange for a tour of the roastery to learn more about the coffee business "from tree to cup", get an overview of the ethical issues which are prominent in the coffee business, and see our commitment to exceptional coffee/ exceptional service in action. We can assist wholesale customers with equipment, training and advice: in fact, with all the details that create a successful retail coffee business. Having run a very busy retail operation for over 6 years, we have learned a thing or two which we are happy to pass along. The overview is: you can't cut corners and maintain high standards at the same time. If you want to serve good coffee, you have to be prepared to do it right every step of the way. That's the only way we know to make sure the customer gets the best possible cup of coffee. The coffee business is built on repeat customers. With the wide variety of coffee outlets available to customers, a retailer must maintain high standards to attract repeat business. (We estimate that 80% of our customers are repeat customers, so we must be doing OK).
