Saltwater Wine Surf Centres Calling the NSW mid-north coast home and founded in 1975 by local Forster legend and surfboard shaper Bob Brown, Saltwater Wine is a part of the fabric of Australian surf culture. Over the years many surf stoked groms have fond memories of Salties including our owner/Managing Director Anthony Wilson - “As a teenager back in the early 80’s my mates and I used to hitchhike from Blackhead into Forster when there was no surf. The highlight of the day was hanging out and making pests of ourselves at Saltwater Wine!” Stormriders Founded in 2010, Stormies is like the spoilt little brother. You know the one, more freedom mixed with a little bit of attitude. He likes to surf, but he likes to skate, play guitar and dabble in art of some form. Surf & Skate are the lifestyles that Stormriders embraces and music and art is what inspires us. “The Stormriders name came from a Snowboard shop in Mammoth Mountain, California. In the mid ‘90s my best mate and I would head to Mammoth every February. Stormirders was the epicentre for snowboarding in Mammoth; if we weren’t on the mountain we were in the shop - we spent hours there hanging out, talking crap, it was epic!” From our first store in downtown Port Macquarie in 2010 we have grown Stormies to 10 stores across the Mid North Coast, New England and Central West areas of NSW. Red Herring Joining the Wilson Retail Co family in 2018, Red Herring Surf Co is a Tasmanian retail icon. Founded in 1971 and originally called “Seaworld”, Red Herring is a massive part of the Tasmanian surf culture. “With 4 stores across the state Red Herring is an exciting new chapter for us, personally I’m really looking forward to building on the culture and legacy Victor and his team have created!”
