ArtEZ University of the Arts is de thuisbasis voor een diverse, internationale gemeenschap van studenten, docenten en onderzoekers die bij ons de ruimte vinden voor artistieke, intellectuele en persoonlijke groei. Kunst bindt ons. Kunst zet aan tot vernieuwende ideeën en alternatieve denkwijzen. Ons motto is: kunst verandert. Art changes. Met inspirerend kunstonderwijs op hbo bachelor- en masterniveau en toonaangevend artistiek onderzoek creëert ArtEZ de plek waar je een verschil kunt maken, in de kunst én in de samenleving. We bieden kunstonderwijs in architectuur, beeldende kunst, dans, fashion, muziek, schrijven, theater en design – en we formuleren antwoorden op een veranderende samenleving en maatschappelijke uitdagingen vanuit vijf gespecialiseerde lectoraten die zorgen voor onderwijsvernieuwing en theorievorming. The purpose of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is to offer unique experiences and perspectives in dance that engage conversation and promote diversity. NDT is a leading contemporary dance company dedicated to creation, research, and talent development. The company is led by artistic director Emily Molnar and managing director Marc Pil. In its commitment to innovation throughout all aspects of the company, NDT collaborates with international choreographers and artists and connects with audiences and communities in The Hague, the Netherlands, and all over the world. At the heart of NDT is a commitment to collaboration, curiosity, innovation and community. Like all art, dance creates, provokes and inspires an open space for dialogue towards an inclusive society. We believe every human being deserves to experience the pleasure of art and that today, more than ever, we need channels of expression to help us examine the world.

Scapino Ballet Rotterdam may be one of the largest dance companies in Holland, with some of the world’s best dancers and choreographers. Our productions are made for everyone. Even people who’ve never seen a dance performance in their lives. But when the company began, it didn’t set out with the aim of creating and performing dance. Scapino was founded in 1945 by miss Hans Snoek. She dreamt of ‘bringing colour back to the cheeks of children after the war.’ And it’s because of her belief in the power of dance to make that happen, that Scapino came to be. The drive to bring change through dance – to bring joy, life, colour – still moves us today. We created Scapino Academy to develop the talent of young dancers and choreographers, and show people how to learn with and from dance. We offer a wide variety of workshops and activities for schools, clubs, companies, community centres and art centres. Our goal: to inspire children, young people and adults, fuel their creativity and develop their talents, and encourage them to think and communicate through movement. Scapino is in a process of constant self-renewal. Change is our way of life. That’s why we feel so at home in Rotterdam, a city in perpetual change, and why we are proud to be the city dance company of this metropolis.
