St. Veronica School Information

After much discussion, input, collaboration and consultation the Parishes of St. Aloysius and St. Veronica have listened and come to the conclusion that to fulfill our high goals and vision for Mother Seton Academy one person leadership isn't sufficient to achieve our goals for the Academy and our students. With every new beginning there are opportunities for excellence that can be grasped only with bold moves forward. With this in mind we have received the approval and blessing of the Office of Catholic Education of the Diocese of Trenton to announce today the creation of the President and Principal model for the Academy. This innovative choice gives us the best talents of two leaders carrying our Academy and its children into an environment of 21st Century education. The President will oversee and promote the Academy in the areas of Catholicity, Religion Curriculum, Marketing, Development, Public Relations and Facilities. The President will be the public face of the Academy. There could be no better choice for President that Sr. Cherree Ann Power with her 44 years of leadership in the world of Catholic education. She brings continuity and new vision. It was recently announced that Sr. Cherree will receive an award at the NCEA Convention in Chicago on April 24. Her strong vision of our Catholic faith and the commitment to put that faith into action in an educational environment will be recognized by Today's Catholic Teacher. Sr. Cherree is one of three nation-wide recipients to receive the award for Catholic Identity. We welcome Sr. Cherree in her new position as President of Mother Seton Academy. The Principal shall have the sole responsibility to oversee curriculum and extra-curricular activities. The Principal will be responsible for the daily operations of the School and be the point of contact with Students, Teachers and Parents.
