Since our founding in 1900 by Brother Gouverneur P. Hance, charitable contributions have been a critical cornerstone in our mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate care regardless of ability to pay. St. Barnabas residents, patients, and their family members often want to give something back in gratitude for the outstanding care currently being offered, or for quality care and personal attention received in the past. St. Barnabas Charities – the fundraising arm of St. Barnabas Health System and a 501 (c) 3 organization – offers a variety of convenient giving options. The St. Barnabas Free Care Fund provides more than $7 million to needy patients at St. Barnabas Health System. St. Barnabas raises money for its Free Care Fund through fundraising events and establishments such as Rudolph Auto Repair, The Edward Kean Theatre, and Beautiful Buys Thrift Shoppe.
