Al Jensen's (Founder and President) Great Grandfather, Ephraim K Hanks, rescued over 500 starving Mormon pioneers caught in a fall snowstorm in Wyoming. Ephraim spotted the group of lost impoverished pioneers on a hill called Splitrock. He provided buffalo meat and performed life-saving miracles using his power of healing. He led them over 300 miles back to the Salt Lake City, Valley. A movie called Ephraim's Rescue was just completed that tells Ephraim's story. That same courage, determination, and integrity that defined Ephraim K Hanks are the same principles used at Splitrock today.
