Sphere India Information

Sphere India is a national coalition of humanitarian agencies in India. The membership of 72 organisations include key nodal organizations from the UN, INGOs, NGO Networks , National NGOs, CSRs , academic institutions and 24 State-level Inter Agency Groups. 805 local organizations mapped for varied capacities all over India are associate members of Sphere India. Sphere India Vision To build a safer and disaster resilient India by promoting quality and accountability in humanitarian action in India through a principle based inclusive process of collaboration of all humanitarian actors including Government Agencies, UN agencies, Red Cross, National and local NGOs, CBOs and communities. Sphere India Mission To enhance the Quality and Accountability of humanitarian action in India by protecting the rights and dignity of the people affected by disasters
