SPEX provides innovative technology solutions and services to the global oil and gas industry. Its unique, process-driven approach, based upon intelligent efficiency, generates innovative solutions for clients at an accelerated pace but with no compromise on quality. Its multidisciplinary in-house team and state of the art engineering and modelling capabilities enable it to deliver a full product life cycle to its clients, from concept to completion. Tools are then serviced in the field. It is the only SME in the sector with this end-to-end capacity. It operates via two key divisions: • SPEX Engineering provides engineering design and analysis, rapid prototyping and testing for new technologies. • SPEX Offshore provides a range of innovative products and bespoke solutions to the industry in areas including pipe cutting and recovery and wellhead abandonment using explosives engineering. Clients range from super-majors (e.g. BP, Shell and Total) to large service companies (e.g. Schlumberger, Baker) and SPEX is active in regions including the UKCS, Middle and Far East, and Gulf of Mexico.
