Mission: Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park preserves the living collection of the nine historic gardens and interprets the life, times, and legacy of Canandaigua's Thompson family estate. Sonnenberg Gardens is a public garden and historic home site that encompasses 50 acres, a 40-room Victorian mansion, an antique greenhouse complex, and nine 100-year old gardens. It greats over 35,000 visitors annually as one of the region's premier attractions. While Sonnenberg works in cooperation with the State of New York, it is only funded by the activities of its nonprofit organization.
