Sonic Arts provides special services for the Recording Industry, providing pre-release, promotional materials and ant-piracy protection for recorded content, including digital audio Watermarking, also known as Forensic Watermarking, which makes it possible to detect and track illegally released recorded content. Such security is important for pre-release recordings, to ensure that copyright is not compromised before content has been formally released. These protections are not intended for use after a recording has been released to the general public.
