In November 1998, one of the leading manufacturers of membranes, Nitto-Denko Corporation appointed Somicon as their representative in Switzerland and EU Countries. In addition, Europe's most established membrane manufacturer PCI Membranes System has agreed to have us represent them in the German Speaking World (Austria, Switzerland and Germany). We also represent CINC in Switzerland and in the Middle East. Thanks to our long and excellent contacts in the Ceramic Membrane Sector, we are in a position to offer some of the best ceramic UF & MF membranes. All these products are synergetically connected and refelect excellence in manufacturing and customer oriented approach. In 2005, we established our operations in the Middle East (UAE and Syria) to support the fast growing markets and to have a customer oriented fresh look at subjects such as Seawater Desalination. This effort was further enhanced when we started our affiliate Somicon Saudi in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2006. Our efforts were recognized by m/s Pump Engineering of U.S.A. They appointed us as their representative in the UAE and other Middle Eastern Countries. We have also launched our own anti-scaling and cleaning chemicals for use in the Water Desalination and Membrane Plants. These formulations are based on our experience of more than 30 years and our close association with the Chemical Industry in Switzerland and Germany. Reader is reminded to the fact that the whole area of anti-scalants was initiated and developed in Basel in the late seventies and early eighties. Somicon's staff was associated with these activities at its very onset. Now we are bringing it to the next level of excellence.
