Smith Young is an independent property consultancy specialising in the leasing and lease consultancy of major shopping centres. Established in 1990, Smith Young was appointed as development consultant and subsequently sole leasing and managing agent for the Meadowhall Regional Shopping Centre, Sheffield – one of the largest and most successful shopping centres in UK history. Since then Smith Young has expanded its role across many of the UK’s leading retail & catering destinations including Westfield London, Westfield Stratford, The Trafford Centre, Lakeside, Teesside and Eldon Square. In 2015 British Land acquired Smith Young’s management business allowing the company to focus solely on leasing and lease consultancy roles.
