Smile delivers affordable, high-quality and easy-to-use broadband internet access and communications services to its customers across Africa. Founded in 2007, Smile sources the best technology available in order to create the innovative solutions required to provide world-class, yet cost-effective, communications services across Africa. Our first commercial network, which provided low-cost voice and messaging services over WiMAX technology, was launched in Kampala, Uganda in November 2009. Since those early days, our offering has improved substantially and we now also have a solid presence in Tanzania and Nigeria.
