Smartphood is a new, easy-to-use app that helps you manage your food inventory and decrease your food waste. Our goal is to help accomplish multiple goals for the busy individual and family. Not only will Smartphood help you set a budget to reduce your food wastage but it will also give you full visibility to your food inventory making grocery shopping more efficient and help save money. No one buys food with the intention of throwing the food away. But according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), more than 34 million tons of food was thrown away in 2010 in the US. This is bad for your wallets and for the environment. Our app helps to track your consumption and compare it to your waste and helps you discover how much money is wasted in your household weekly and monthly.
