Founded in 2000, SITD is a diversified education provider and one of the largest IT development organization in India. An NGO registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860and an NGO partner with Govt. of India, SITD reaches across to more than 4000 full fledged knowledge centers spread across several taluks and panchayats in 28 states. To effectively manage these centers, SITD today have a Head Office in New Delhi and Corporate Office in Thiruvananthapuram. To reach out to millions of students and rural population across the country through our education programme & services. Our motto is to enable “Access to Quality Education and Employment” to all. Ever since its inception, SITD has maintained a long, undiluted focus on bridging the digital divide that existed between rural and urban India We are deeply committed to our volatile network of over 4000 knowledge centers that implement innovative & highly employment potential courses. It will not be wrong to say that our courses and training methods have revolutionized the way the training of computers are done in Indian Villages and Towns. SITD employees over 1500 professionals directly and more than18000 indirectly in various areas of its operation. In addition to this, the organization operates through its various wings including Phoenix International, its Hardware Manufacturing & Assembling Unit, People Life Career, a career magazine, SATE India Pvt Ltd, its e-commerce wing etc. It is estimated that Indian Service Sector that is at present registering a stable growth of 10 % annually will generate requirement for 30% more than the current employee strength that it has. It is also understood that the manpower requirement will trickle down to semi urban and rural areas from the current city/ town centric status thus resulting in thousands of employment opportunities for the rural youth in the areas of IT, Retail, Entrepreneurship, and Hardware etc.
