The strategic innovation programme STRIM (Strategic innovation programme for the Swedish mining and metal producing industry) is part of a joint investment in strategic innovation areas (SIP) by Vinnova, Formas and the Swedish Energy Agency. The aim of SIP STRIM is to strengthen the competitiveness of the Swedish mining and metal extraction industry. This is achieved by promoting leading centres and clusters for research, innovation and education where sustainable solutions for the extraction of metals are developed. All activities within SIP STRIM aim to realize the visions of the agenda.
