Asia Society is dedicated to understanding Asia and its role in the world. With locations across Asia, the United States, and Europe, we bring together leading thinkers on policy, business, arts, education, and culture, produce cutting-edge research on what's happening in Asia, and host events across our 16 locations for our members and the public.

Over 40,000 Asians and Europeans have participated in its activities, and reached a much wider audience through its networks, web-portals, publications, exhibitions and lectures. Located in the heart of Melbourne’s Chinatown, the Chinese Museum’s five floors showcase the heritage and culture of Australia’s Chinese community. Our purpose is to operate a museum, to promote and preserve Chinese Culture and history; especially of Australian-Chinese history in Australia. The Museum has three permanent exhibitions: -Finding Gold -Dragon Gallery -Chinese Australian History In the Temporary Exhibition Gallery, the Museum rotates exhibitions every three to four months. Occasionally, we invite international and local artists to present exhibitions, cultural events and contemporary art shows in the space. The Museum offers a variety of guided tours, programs and workshops to the general public, schools and other groups.
