Silverbacks Coffee was founded by Tami Loehrs, a worldwide digital forensics expert for over 20 years. When Tami’s husband and the love of her life died of a brain tumor in 2020, it was a trip to Rwanda that saved her life after extreme loss and grief. Since that trip she has been in love with the country, the people and the gorillas ever since. It was during her second visit to Africa that Tami had the idea of promoting Rwanda's rich culture through coffee to spread kindness and give back. Silverbacks Coffee’s mission is not to make a CEO or board of directors wealthy but to give back to the communities that buy their coffee. In Rwanda specifically, Silverbacks Coffee is committed to helping with the conservation and protection of mountain gorillas, providing education for local children who might not otherwise receive it, and assist the local women in being recognized for their contributions. We want to make a difference on a global scale and believe that anything is achievable when you put all your efforts into giving back. For anyone who supports Silverbacks Coffee’s cause, the company will give back to their local communities, their causes and their dreams. To learn more, please visit www.silverbackscoffee.com.
