sic97 was created due to our admiration for the objects designed by Elmar Thome (Mayen 1964 – Barcelona 2005) in the late 1980s. Thome sculpted small pieces full of poetry with the intention of introducing them in everyday use. After disappearing from catalogues for ten years, we are now releasing these pieces again, adapted to current manufacturing processes. To start this new business venture, we present the ET bathroom accessories collection and the Toma lamp. From here, sic97 will continue to add timeless and fascinating industrial designs. Our philosophy pays full respect to the original design, materials and final handling.
