SHOTRON Information

SHOTRON is a not for profit organization founded in 2006, aiming to offer to the children between 4 to 12 years the necessary cultural and media skills to grow healthy and harmoniously. This cultural counseling is achieved either on-line, on the SHOTRON website (www.shotron.ro) or through various projects put into practice by a team of volunteers dedicated to the young generation. Radio, theatre, magazines, books, movies, cartoons and games, all these are filtered by an authentic scale of values, in order to educate the children for media literacy. Media literacy education provides tools to help people critically analyze messages to detect propaganda, censorship, and bias in media, and enables people to be skillful creators and producers of media messages and of independent media.
