Share-Capital Foundation Information

The Foundation was formed in December 2008. In June 2009, a 501(c)3 public charity status was grantd to SCF by the IRS of the U. S. Treasury Department. We have one office in New York. The state of domicile for the Foundation is Delaware. Legal services for the Foundation are currently provided by Hurwit & Associates of Newton, MA. The governance of the Foundation is comprised of four board members. The administrative expenses incurred to form and operate the Foundation since 2008 have been provided by gifts and non-interest bearing loans from key supporters. It is the intent of the Foundation to underwrite its operating expenses by way of special gifts, so 100% of financial support from donor members intended to benefit the grant making, asset aggregation objectives, education, and advocacy work of the Foundation is optimized. There are no paid employees at the Foundation, nor have we incurred any long-term employee benefit obligations. At this time, Board members do not receive a stipend or meeting expense fee of any kind.
