Shadow's Fund Information

Shadow's Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of vulnerable animals at highest risk of euthanasia due to behavioral, medical, or circumstantial complexity. Operating from Sheltering Oak Sanctuary — 106 acres in Santa Barbara County, California — we deliver our mission through four programs: long-term trauma-informed sanctuary care, holistic rescue and rehoming, upstream prevention for at-risk litters, and comprehensive pet retention intervention for families on the verge of surrender. We operate from the conviction that behavior is communication, healing requires safety before modification, and every surrender is a preventable outcome.
