Child Life Connection was founded by Belinda Hammond, Certified Child Life Specialist, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, and College Instructor of both Child Development and Exceptionalities. Belinda is also a proud member of the Child Life Council's Partnership Review Committee and a proud Board Member of The Oscar Litwak Foundation. Child Life Connection was created to build or enhance play opportunities in medical facilities providing services for pediatric patients, and to provide/support Child Life/Therapeutic Play programs for pediatric patients. Knowing it often "takes a village" to care for children, we aim to create a greater sense of community to support the care of our children by introducing students to Service Learning opportunities which support our pediatric patients in the settings that touch their lives - hospital, school and home! Our mission is to make receiving medical care, from stays in hospital to receiving support beyond the hospital, less scary for children! 1.
