SERINUS Technology - For Better Environments! SERINUS IEQ offers online, wireless measurement of indoor environmental quality, use and energy consumption in buildings. This information is analyzed in relation to the building's technical characteristics, available space and usage patterns to improve indoor climate, control the usage of the building and ultimately control technical systems. Everything aiming to improve IEQ at a reduced energy consumption. IEQ, space management and energy consumption in buildings are closely related. A large proportion of energy is used to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning in a building. IEQ, ie the working and learning environments, has a significant impact on general well-being, as well as human health, performance productivity and motivation. By measuring the IEQ, usage patterns and energy consumption at a high interval frequency, SERINUS IEQ is able to model how the building is performing in relation to its potential. When applied in the context of Building Information Models (BIM) it can be used in the planning, construction and subsequent use of new buildings as well as rehabilitation of existing buildings. TECHNOLOGY The solution consists of wireless SERINUS sensor units that communicate using RF technology and Cloud based services. Data is collected in a central database where it is analyzed, modelled and presented in a web-application. The sensor units contain dedicated sensors for measuring CO2, temperature, humidity, light, sound and movement.
