Selva Armonía began in 2006 with the purchase of 35 acres in the mountains of Uvita, Costa Rica, and a conscious intention to prepare homesites for sustainable living. In 2011, we completed building our eco-retreat center, allowing us to open up our sanctuary as a space for teachers, healers, yogis, facilitators, and co-creators to teach, share their gifts, and rekindle a connection with nature. We are an innovative business committed to six core pillars that continue to serve as guiding principles in every interaction and endeavor, facilitating the space we work to create for our guests. 1. Community: We actively foster a collaborative and diverse environment as a safe space for everyone to receive love and radical acceptance. 2. Health: We nurture a holistic perspective of health, allowing guests to integrate mental, physical, and emotional tools into their overall wellbeing. 3. Movement: We encourage our guests to experience the medicine of movement, and work to strengthen the mind-body connection via professional instruction and freedom of physical expression. 4. Permaculture: We utilize the natural resources around us to create a nourishing environment for both people and the planet. 5. Spirituality: We embrace spiritual expression in its many forms and invite open discussion and exploration of wisdom and higher knowledge. 6.
