For 30 years, Seiche has been helping organisations understand what’s happening beneath the surface. With more than 140,000 deployment days behind us, we combine specialist marine technology, environmental services and decades of operational expertise to support complex projects around the world. Our work focuses on understanding, monitoring and mitigating the impact of anthropogenic noise in our oceans. We provide underwater noise measurement and modelling, marine mammal mitigation, passive acoustic monitoring, visual detection and specialist personnel, giving clients the technology, expertise and support they need to listen, detect and understand. Our experience spans offshore wind, oil & gas, security & defence, marine construction, wave & tide and marine science. Seiche technology includes passive acoustic monitoring systems, hydrophones, underwater noise measurement solutions, optical data transmission and camera-based detection systems. We also develop bespoke engineered solutions for challenging marine environments and specialist applications. Behind that capability is a global team of specialists, with offices in the UK, USA and South Africa and established relationships across industry, academia and government. Founded in 1996 by ocean engineering enthusiasts with a deep respect for the sea and its inhabitants, that same passion for understanding and protecting the marine environment continues to drive Seiche today. Our name, pronounced ‘Saych’, refers to a series of standing waves in an enclosed or partially enclosed body of water — fitting for a company built around understanding the sound, movement and life of our oceans.
