For 30 years, Seiche has been helping organisations understand what’s happening beneath the surface. We specialise in marine technology and environmental services, combining underwater acoustics, marine mammal monitoring and advanced detection systems with the expertise to support complex marine projects around the world. Our work focuses on understanding and mitigating the impact of anthropogenic noise in our oceans. From underwater noise measurement and modelling to marine mammal mitigation, passive acoustic monitoring and visual detection, we provide the technology, services and specialist teams our clients need to listen, detect and understand. With more than 140,000 deployment days behind us, our experience spans decades of marine projects across offshore wind, oil & gas, security & defence, marine construction, wave & tide and marine science. Our technology portfolio includes passive acoustic monitoring systems, hydrophones, optical data transmission, underwater noise measurement solutions and camera-based detection systems. We also develop bespoke engineered solutions to meet the demands of different marine environments and applications. Behind the technology is a global team of specialists, supported by offices in the UK, USA and South Africa and strong partnerships across industry, academia and government. Seiche was founded in 1996 by ocean engineering enthusiasts with a deep respect for the sea and its inhabitants. That passion remains at the heart of what we do today. Our name, pronounced ‘Saych’, comes from the term for a series of standing waves in an enclosed or partially enclosed body of water - a fitting name for a company built around understanding the movement, sound and life of our oceans.
