The company was founded by Kwesi Sam-Woode in November 1984. It rapidly grew to become the first publishing company to be listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange after a successful IPO in the year 2002. SWL was ranked 70th on the 2009 edition of the Ghana Club 100. SWL engages in publishing of educational books including fiction and non-fiction readers and other teaching and learning materials. Our list of products comprises an exciting range of books suitable for Nursery Schools, Primary Schools, Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools. We have garnered over thirty years of experience through pursuing excellence in the Publishing Industry. We have a track record of developing textbooks that conform to the Ghanaian Ministry of Education syllabus as a result we have won contracts on various occasions to supply textbooks to schools all over the country. Our books are well known to our customers to be of high quality production and content. Many of our books are used in Nigerian Schools through licensed publishing contracts with West Africa Book Publishers (WABP) Lagos, Nigeria.
