SALAM for Democracy and Human Rights Information

SALAM for Democracy and Human Rights is a civil non-governmental organization observing and promoting human rights in general and human rights in Bahrain in particular. It was set up in 2013 with the aim to promote human rights and democracy issues in the Gulf Region through training, advocacy, networking, action-oriented research, publications and documentation. Other objectives include: • Bring the persecution of Shia in Bahrain to the international public • Coordinate a plan between the participating organizations to stop Shia persecution • Create a working group to counter the plans in place to cleanse Shia from Bahrain • Create a working group to realize proper citizenship rights to the Shia in Bahrain • Organize a lobby group to defend Bahraini Shias rights
