SAFE Water Now, Inc Information

SAFE Water Now, Inc., established in July 2010, is a U.S. 501(c)(3) tax exempt, nonprofit, charitable organization with the mission of providing clean water – initially to Africa, and then to the rest of the under-served world – through sustainable enterprise and education. Our strategy is to cultivate local, sustainable enterprises that deliver high quality, fairly-priced, and reasonably available household water treatment. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, SAFE Water Now provides expertise, services, and resources to solve the problem of unsafe drinking water in developing countries. Our approach of utilizing proven, well-documented standard products and processes is our key differentiator. SAFE Water Now programs are based upon Sustainable, Affordable, Flexible and Effective (SAFE) water treatment methods and local education. We work in partnership with local organizations to create local businesses and jobs in manufacturing, sales, education, and transportation to serve the need for safe drinking water in the community. Our approach is to develop and execute well-documented, proven processes throughout a program’s life cycle to implement the best water treatment solutions any where clean water is needed. Our first program is located in Tanzania. Our affiliated non-government organization (NGO), Safe Water Ceramics of East Africa (SWCEA), provides access to safe water today by manufacturing and distributing our high quality household ceramic water filter.
