SABLE® Data Works (Pty) Ltd is a software development and consultancy company operating predominantly within the mining and built environment sectors. From its origins in the early 1980’s it has steadily developed into a leading provider of scientific data management systems and associated services. SABLE’s software development is primarily focused on developing data centric systems to support the data quality assurance methodologies it espouses. The sixth generation of the core product is currently in the market, the latter being an enterprise-level data warehousing system running of a relational database back end. The SABLE Earth business unit is focused on promoting data quality, integrity and standardisation within the geoscientific community. It maintains ties to professional organisations such as the Geological Society of South Africa and the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. It has a legacy of working closely with its clients to produce tailored solutions and maintains strong ties to a loyal customer base. Within the built environment, SABLE Assets extends this data quality approach to develop the SABLE Asset Suite system for the onsite capture, management and web-based reporting of asset registers, condition assessment and proscribed construction norms and standards.
