Saat Saath Arts Information

THE SAAT SAATH ARTS FOUNDATION supports international exchange between India and the rest of the world through the visual arts and education initiatives. Founded in 2010 by Director Aparajita Jain, it is a non-profit initiative, with headquarters in New Delhi and working with museums and galleries across the world. The main mandate of Saat Saath Arts is the Saat Saath Curatorial Research Grant, provide support and raise funds for exhibitions which include Indian artists, in international institutions and promote Contemporary Art through adopting initiatives within India and abroad. THE FOUNDATION has already received international acclaim for its Curatorial Research Grant program, conceived by Aparajita and Diana Cambpell Betancourt, artistic director of the Dhaka Art Summit. The Grant essentially endows international curators with resources to extend their research on Indian art practitioners, thus nurturing a vital exchange of knowledge between India and the rest of the world. The foundation as per its mandate has also supported the mounting of Jitish Kallat’s poetic piece, “Covering Letter”, at the CSMVS (formerly the Prince of Wales Museum) in Mumbai, and “Matter” featuring the work of artist Bharti Kher at Vancouver Art Gallery, which was the result of a research trip funded by the organization. MOST RECENTLY, Saat Saath Arts has joined hands with the Government of Rajasthan to produce The Sculpture Park at Madhavendra Palace, Nahargarh Fort, Jaipur. It will be a first of its kind focussing on promoting and highlighting Contemporary Art. This initiative is something that aligns with the society`s mandate and hence will be backed with the corporate support raised by the foundation.
