Rynetech Bio is a startup precision fermentation company, founded in 2018, dedicated to developing engineered yeast strains and novel bioprocesses to produce renewable chemicals by fermentation. Our current target products are chemicals in the terpene family. Terpenes are a large class of molecules with a range of properties making them useful products as fragrances, flavors, nutraceuticals, food colorants, and antioxidants. Many are produced by plants however are often present at very low concentrations making it expensive to purify them from their native source. Making these products by fermentation can decrease the cost of production while also increasing product purity.
