Launching at the London Marathon in April 2018, Runmates is a unique location-based running app that aims to connect and grow the global running community with the touch of a button. Runmates supports the social side of running by connecting local runners and supports their goals by connecting them to local professional coaches. No matter where you are in the world, you can be part of the Runmates family! ✓ How can runners (aka Mates) use Runmates? Mates of every running level get the opportunity to meet new people, discover their city, and stay motivated while improving their health, fitness, and well-being — completely free of charge! Mates can use the app in three ways: 1. Share details of upcoming runs, then search for and connect with like-minded runners for a Pairs Run or a Group Run. 2. Find and join local Group Runs and make some new running buddies! 3. Connect with local running coaches, aka Pro Coaches, and purchase one-on-one training sessions or pre-arranged group training sessions with other Mates. ✓ How can coaches (aka Pro Coaches) use Runmates? Pro Coaches get the opportunity to advertise to, connect with, and sell their services to the Run-mates family. Pro Coaches get to be their own bosses, choosing when they work and the number of runners they work with, while meeting new people and expanding their business and brand. ✓ What’s the story behind Runmates? Runmates happened when the founders combined their love of the most popular and accessible sport in the world and their desire to enhance the social side of it.
