Rootvalue was created to drive technological innovation towards the transformation of traditional supply chains, into circular, sustainable and equitable value networks. Believing in traceability and transparency as key catalysers of supply chain transformation, the rootvalue solution combines satellite navigation technologies with mobile applications and sensor networks, to enable a seamless, verifiable link between primary producers, corporations and consumers. Dates: 2014 to 2016 Key outcomes: Development of supply chain mapping method using systems thinking and circular design principles. Development of a fully functional technology prototype for the apparel industry. Pilot projects in apparel, furniture and wood processing sectors. Consumer behaviour analysis using Human Centered Design. Conceptualisation and design of a conscious consumption application using geolocation and collective perception ratings, in order to raise awareness on health, environmental and social impact.
