RoomForTea Information

RoomForTea is a mid-term accommodation platform connecting people looking for a home away from home with live-in hosts who have a spare room to offer. We believe there's a better use for the millions of spare bedrooms sitting empty across the UK. For hosts, RoomForTea provides a flexible way to earn additional income from their home while remaining completely in control of who they welcome and when. Eligible hosts may also benefit from the Government's Rent a Room Scheme, which allows individuals to earn up to £7,500 per year tax-free from furnished accommodation in their main home. For guests, we provide an alternative to expensive short-term accommodation and impersonal rentals somewhere comfortable to call home for a few weeks or months. We work with homeowners, students, professionals, universities, employers and organisations to create trusted mid-term accommodation connections. Have a spare room? Make it work for you.
