Remote Drilling Services is a professional, well-equipped and highly mobile core drilling company. It is run by seasoned exploration geologists with extensive experience in field exploration and management of drill contractors. Operations have been undertaken in highly remote areas throughout southern and central Africa. Another key strength of RDS is its ability to assess and manage the risks identified in any particular area of activity. Through the establishment of a reliable communications network area-specific evacuation procedures and on-site safety and medical officers, the company is well prepared for the inherent risks of operating in remote locations. RDS use Boart Longyear LF90D track mounted rigs as well as Atlas CT14's. Mobility throughout the year is maintained by using specialized 4x4 & 6x6 MAN trucks, Caterpillar D7 Dozer, as well as a custom fitted PowerTraxx Tracked Crawler.
