Qwertynomics Information

My name is Zoe Clements and I am a typing specialist and educator to children and adults keen to learn an important life skill. My business is called “Touch Typing 4 Life”, providing small group instruction in touch typing and computer skills in my classroom or at business premises. Touch typing is a proven method of learning proper keyboard typing skills using the common QWERTY keyboard by developing correct finger positioning and finger movement muscle memory, all without looking at the keyboard. Computers are everywhere in both academic and professional life, and without proper keyboard skills, it’s akin to writing with a quill and ink – painfully slow and tedious. My program, unlike many online and self-help courses, teaches correct posture; wrist, hand and finger positioning; key stroke rhythm; and awareness of ergonomics as keys to proper touch typing. Each individual student, regardless of age or ability, even in group settings, is provided a customized learning plan tuned to their physical stature, comfort level, and unique fine motor skills. I offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses alike. While in the UK, I was the subject of a number of articles in National newspapers about me and my achievements. As well I was interviewed last year by the BBC as the touch typing specialist in one of their hour long programs. I was instrumental in bringing touch typing into the curriculum within the public school system.
