Quay technology enables transfer of parcels in the city within few hours for only $2-3. Quay will be the first service for same day delivery inter-city for a reasonable and fair price. Traditional shipping services use the Hub & Spoke paradigm. This paradigm is very effective in the line-haul, but cannot serve the needs of e-commerce, mainly same-day delivery, and the last mile becomes very complex. On the other hand, other services which support same-day delivery, operate from point to point, and are therefore very expensive. Quay uses “Physical Internet”, a paradigm utilizing the same logic of data networks in the physical transportation and logistics world. Quay proposes to use the Physical internet as mesh Network for deliveries, It is fast and maintains shipping efficiency. Mesh Network is a middle path between point to point and Hub & Spoke paradigms. Although slower than point to point, Mesh Network can provide same-day delivery at a very low cost.
