The world's sailing community, all in one place. Helping you travel the world by connecting skippers and crew. After spending many of my summers traveling and looking for yachts to sail with, I became frustrated with the options available for finding skippers in need of crew members. So, I decided to create the resource I needed myself. I wanted to make a website that was community-based, a safe place for people to meet, free and easy to use. So, I approached the owner of a website I had used over the years that I knew I could build and improve upon. I acquired the domain name Floatplan.com in April this year, and since then I have turned the website into a fast growing online community for sailors around the world currently with 6500+ members, and seeing around 10 – 20 new members join everyday.
